This iconic Montreal hotel was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms, and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Reporting to the food and beverage director, the Banquet Operations director will be responsible for ensuring flawless event planning and execution, working closely with the sales, catering and operations teams.
As an inspirational leader, you will mentor a team of associates, fostering their development and motivation to deliver exceptional customer service and memorable experiences. You will also play a strategic role in innovating and implementing best practices to optimize profitability, while ensuring effective coordination between the hotel's various departments.

Main responsibilities:
Banquet Management:
- Oversee all banquet-related operations in our 35,000 square feet of space, ensuring flawless event execution.
- Collaborate with sales and catering teams to plan and customize memorable events.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott standards and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Reopening and management of Caf' Conc:
- Play a key role in the opening of this iconic venue, collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Develop diversified event programming and manage operations to ensure the theater's success.
- Deliver an immersive, memorable guest experience while meeting operational requirements.
Leadership and team management:
- Manage and motivate a high-performance team of banquet and event associates.
- Manage recruitment, training and talent development in a collaborative environment.
- Oversee schedules, budgets and resources to optimize productivity and profitability.
Strategic Operations:
- Maintain effective coordination with hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to innovation and excellence in banquet and event services.

Required skills:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in banquet or catering operations management in a hotel or event environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems (Micros Simphony, Marriott MGS, etc.) - an asset.
Languages: Bilingualism (French-English) is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
