Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage Outlets, the Food & Beverage Supervisor & Group Event Manager will be responsible for overseeing food & beverage services (restaurant, bar, room service) and coordinating group events held at Lloyd's Restaurant. In addition to ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction, this role involves planning, managing and executing group events, such as corporate receptions and other social gatherings.
Responsibilities:
- Customer satisfaction: Ensure an exceptional customer experience, including for groups at special events.
- Employee support: Coach, train and develop the skills of the catering team.
- Group event management: Collaborate with customers to plan events, coordinate with various departments (kitchen, service, logistics) and ensure smooth execution of services.
- Day-to-day management: Coordinate restaurant operations, supervise schedules, manage reservations and ensure smooth operations during events.
- Standards and inventory: Monitor the quality of services and products offered, manage inventories.
- Customer relations: Be accessible and easily identifiable to customers, manage requests and resolve problems proactively.
- Preventive maintenance: Ensure general preventive maintenance to guarantee a pleasant and functional environment during events.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication and relationship management skills: Ability to interact with a variety of customers and groups.
- Event management experience: Previous event management or group hospitality experience an asset.
- Multitasking and adaptability: Simultaneous management of catering operations and group events.

Customer focus: Excellent customer service skills, particularly in a group environment.
Education: College diploma in restaurant or event management (an asset). - Experience: 2 years in a similar role, ideally in a unionized environment.

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) in both spoken and written communication is required for this position, as we serve an international clients.
