Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Night Auditor is responsible for verifying commercial transactions conducted during the day to balance accounts and deposits and close cash registers, while ensuring reception duties during the night. They take on the role of a receptionist by welcoming guests so that they can enjoy the best hotel experience.

 

Job description:

 

  • Classify commercial transactions conducted during the day
  • Verify and correct the recording of transactions and update hotel guest notes
  • Balance accounts and close cash registers for different points of sale
  • Produce the daily revenue report
  • Answer the phone and route incoming calls
  • Handle reservations
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs
  • Manage group reservations and arrivals
  • Collaborate with the security department
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Other administrative and/or accounting tasks

Skills and qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of the hotel industry
  • Resourceful and dynamic
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Display professionalism at all times
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Quick and sound judgment
  • College degree in hospitality, an asset
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Advanced knowledge of hotel software applications such as Opera
  • Teamwork skills

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both orally and in writing, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.

 

Experience: minimum of 1 year.
