Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Phoenix, AZ.

Status: Full-Time

Salary: 60 000$ up to 65 000$ per year plus benefits

Reporting to the Property manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities within the assigned apartment community, and ensuring that the property is compliant with CanAm Property Management policies and standards, in addition to all local, state and federal regulations. The incumbent in this position plays a crucial role in preserving the establishment's infrastructure and equipment, as well as in training maintenance staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the apartment complex.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including repairing basic equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Property manager to plan and allocate tasks within the maintenance team to ensure 24/7 coverage in case of emergencies.
  • Monitor maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and best practices.
  • Manage inventories of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are considered in the apartment complex activity planning.
  • Identify and promptly resolve technical issues and breakdowns, minimizing disruptions to tenants.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with CanAm Property Management safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with other departments to ensure smooth apartment complex operations.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the residential or hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical skills in electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and other areas of general maintenance.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team, with excellent communication and management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and the importance of rigorous adherence.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving orientation.
  • Flexibility to work on a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

 

Languages: English oral and written, is required for this position
