Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities within the hotel. The incumbent in this position plays a crucial role in preserving the establishment's infrastructure and equipment, as well as in training maintenance staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the hotel.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including repairing basic equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to plan and allocate tasks within the maintenance team to ensure 24/7 coverage in case of emergencies.
  • Monitor maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and best practices.
  • Manage inventories of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are considered in the hotel's activity planning.
  • Identify and promptly resolve technical issues and breakdowns, minimizing disruptions to guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical skills in electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and other areas of general maintenance.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team, with excellent communication and management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and the importance of rigorous adherence.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving orientation.
  • Flexibility to work on a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
